We employ more than 135 people at our corporate headquarters and 70,000 square foot manufacturing and R&D facility at 1250 Elko Drive in Sunnyvale, CA 94089 (800-797-8159). Our green building manufacturing plant produces EcoRock drywall, the first environmentally-friendly drywall, energy-saving SeriousWindows and SeriousGlass, and Quiet® brand products designed to soundproof environments to support sustainable zoning approaches to land use. Newark, California The rail loading facility and 12 acre plant in Newark, CA is dedicated to producing QuietRock soundproof drywall and accessory products that reduce material use, enhance livability, and support dense sustainable urban construction. Boulder, Colorado The 36,955 square foot manufacturing plant produces super-insulating windows and commercial glass, SeriousWindows and SeriousGlass. This is in addition to Serious Materials’ existing 15,000 square feet of space also located in Boulder, formerly Alpen Windows, Inc., which has been producing leading energy-saving glass for more than 27 years. Two weeks after the acquisition, the 100,000 square foot manufacturing facility had begun producing SeriousWindows and SeriousGlass with newly installed equipment. A growing number of former Kensington employees have been reemployed. At full production, we expect to create at least 120 green jobs based in Vandergrift. Chicago, Illinois
